Monica K. Campos, DVM
A Colorado Springs native, Dr. Monica Campos graduated in 1997 from with a B.S. in Microbiology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2001 from Colorado State University. Following vet, school Dr. Monica returned to the Colorado Springs and has lived and worked in the area for 15yrs. In 2014 Dr. Monica purchased Ridgewood Animal Hospital. Dr. Monica is very active in the local veterinary community currently serving as Board President of Harley’s Hope a local non-profit helping pets with medical needs. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado Veterinary Medical Association and the Colorado Springs Area Veterinary Society.
Dr. Monica likes to fill her free time traveling and spending time with friends, family, and her beloved dachshunds.
Janet L. Christy, DVM
Dr. Janet Christy received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 1975. Following graduation, she practiced veterinary medicine in Michigan for four years before she purchased Ridgewood Animal Hospital with her late husband, William T. Christy, DVM and moved to Colorado Springs in 1979.
Since Dr. Monica has purchased the clinic, she sees patients on Wednesdays and occasional Saturdays. Dr. Christy is grateful for the relationships she has developed with her patients and their families at Ridgewood Animal Hospital over the past 30+ years. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, the outdoors, fun with her family, and taking care of her fur babies. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, and Colorado Springs Area Veterinary Medical Society.
Certified Veterinary Technician
Tracy worked as a veterinary technician at Ridgewood Animal Hospital for 11 years under the ownership of Dr. Janet Christy and continues as a part of the Ridgewood team under Dr. Monica Campos’ ownership. Tracy has a deep interest in companion animal nutrition and behavior. Tracy enjoys expanding her knowledge by attending continuing education courses. Tracy has a passion for all things furry and a few things feathered; like her parrot that is over 35 years old. She retired in May 2021 but continues to help with relief work when she isn’t traveling.
Certified Veterinary Technician
Brooke is originally from Northern Colorado and joined Ridgewood Animal Hospital in 2015. Brooke has always loved animals and decided to pursue a career in the veterinary field, accomplishing that goal in 2010 when she graduated with her certification as a Veterinarian Technician. Brooke is an active foster for Wild Blue Cats, All Points West German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue and Mile High Weim Rescue. Brooke shares her home with her husband, 3 children, her canine & feline kids and reptiles.
Micah is originally from Texas. She grew up on a farm with goats, cows, chickens and many dogs and cats. She graduated Kansas State University with her bachelors degree in animal science. She joined Ridgewood Animal Hospital in 2019 and is currently enrolled at CAVT to become a certified technician. She shares her home with her husband, 2 kids and 2 cats. In her free time she is an avid gamer, loves to read and bake.
Amber is originally from the central coast of California and joined Ridgewood as a receptionist in December 2021. Amber has worked many jobs to inclue the Air Force, a pastry chef, sales and grooming, but found her true passion in veterinary medicine. Amber has been married for over 17 year and has 2 teenages. She shares her home with 3 dogs and a cat. Amber enjoys crafting, scary movies, and all things bizarre.
